Guest Post: Give yourself a makeover in time for Christmas

In association with Beauty Recommended

One sure-fire way to boost confidence and make yourself feel better is to invest in a makeover. Whether you’re feeling a little drab or you just want to look fabulous for a special occasion, a makeover can really help.

No matter how much time you’ve got, there’s always something that can be done to change the way you look.

1. Change your hair

One of the first things that a woman often does to boost her self-confidence is change the style of her hair. If you can afford to, get to the hairdressers and have a complete re-style. However, if you can’t afford to have the style changed, you could get away with just changing the colour.

A home dye kit can work wonders and provide you with a completely new look in a matter of just one hour. Another great tip is to try out different hair styles to find a new look. There are plenty of videos online offering tutorials on how to create artistic masterpieces with your locks.

2. Make use of clever beauty tips

A few clever beauty tips can make the world of difference when going for a makeover so pay attention to them. Using a highlighter pencil just under your eyebrows will make your eyes appear wide awake and fresher, while lip glosses with ingredients such as ginger and peppermint help to plump the lips.

There are plenty of skin care tips online that will help you to achieve a bright, healthy complexion too so make sure you read up.

3. All about the lashes

False eyelashes are an instant way to give yourself a makeover. There are even natural looking ones available that can be worn during the day so you don’t have to worry about looking too obvious.

Alternatively, for a style that screams confidence invest in the longer, thicker lashes for night-time and special occasions.

4. Change your style

Do you wear the same things over and over again? Why not opt for a completely new style?  You can get help from personal shoppers or simply make a deal with yourself to buy one item of clothing you wouldn’t normally buy when you hit the shops. You might be surprised by what you discover!

5. Invest in new perfume

A splash of new perfume can really help to complete a makeover so why not treat yourself to a new scent?
