This is a growing girls dream toy. I say toy, but it really isn’t a toy, it’s a modern gadget for children with so many features that it’s still amazing that they can be made all in one gadget for recording memories. I would say that it is more aimed at girls, but boys still often want to have some secrets too, which I think is a good thing.
The fingerprint lock is pretty cool for access, being instantly a gadget that siblings can’t get into and delete, over record or change. The screen is a decent 4″ and large enough to create good videos with plenty special effects to make every recording an individual experience and one off. And if they look silly or feel silly, they can feel safe that nobody else can see the mistakes they make as they learn a modern advanced skill of digital creating.
There are lots of lights and plenty filters and frames to change the journal entries and make the recordings their own. Creators find their own niche and style, and this lets youngsters practice it safely and at home, while they have fun. Just like the grown ups creator apps, the secret video journal has question of the day and prompts to get them started and give ideas to get little brains ticking over.
The memory is expandable although it includes a 32GB microSD card in the box, so it’s ready just to set up and go.
