Food is becoming a big part of my life. Apart from the love / hate affair my body and I have had over the years, it’s time to embrace all that is foodie and learn to love our calories. I’m not a fantastic cook, but I do experiment, and I enjoy watching my kids faces to see if they are enjoying their many new taste bud sensations.
Funky Foodies is to celebrate all of us who share our recipes with the online world. It gives everyone an opportunity to take part and have something at the end of their planning and writing up.
Funky Foodies will be a monthly link up for everyone to join with and help to encourage each other to share our hard work in the kitchen. You can submit as many recipes as you want in the month, as each one will be considered as a recipe for the monthly Star Recipe Winner of the month.
The whole point is to take snaps or pictures of dishes you have made during the week, and share it with the rest of us by writing about it on your own blog. You can then join the blog hop / linkie whenever you want and add your link. It’s really easy. Visit other people’s entries and leave them some lovely comments. You can subscribe to this blog to make sure you remember when the new linkie is posted as it will be sent to you automatically.
Don’t worry about the quality of your photos, it’s not a photography competition.
Monthly Star Recipe Winner
Yearly Funky Food Trophy Winner For Best Recipe
At the end of May each year, the previous 12 months star recipe winners will be entered into a draw to win this fabulous wooden spoon trophy as our winner of the year. No travelling for miles to attend a function, so everyone can enter and have a chance to win a fabulous prize.
- Funky Foodies will run each month with a new linkie opening up on the first day of the month. It will close on the last day of the month.
- That’s it, and I hope to see you all entering soon. The first linkie will be up to celebrate the crossover of the last week of May and into the first week of June for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
- You will also be able to pick the code up and add it on your own blog so that people can hop from blog to blog and see different recipes.
Lets have fun and get to know each others cooking.
