Welcome to the home of the Scottish Mum Blog. I am a mum and I blog. I am Scottish, so I am usually filed under Scottish Mummy Blogger, Aberdeen Food Blogger, or anything else that people can really think of.
Blogging about being a mummy is one of the least frequent things I do. Most of us are simply parents who happen to blog about a variety of things. We’re usually doing this as a hobby, so if you find something that isn’t absolutely perfect, turn a blind eye – we all make mistakes.
We mum bloggers can be parenting blogs, or cooking blogs, or lifestyle blogs, or technology blogs, or even a mix of them all. Don’t be surprised to see food on the same blog as child care advice, elder care, mental health, disability, politics and much more.
The fact that we blog is what brings us together as a community. We Tweet, Facebook and Forum, where there is a large Internet community of bloggers who work and play together (did I mention the conferences).
I live in Aberdeen, Scotland. I write for a living these days and help other people with their copy writing, blogging and social media. I write poems, often doric poems but I am very shy about them, although if you dig deeply enough, you’ll find some that I pretend don’t exist.
I am a winner of Nanowrimo – which means I wrote a novel of 50,000 words in one month. It reached the lofty heights of 84,2,27 words and is still languishing in a drawer while I work on a non fiction book for foetal alcohol.
I have worked with many leading brands which has been absolutely fantastic, many of which are included on this blog. I also write for a large online network in the UK.
I occasionally write for the Yahoo Contributor Network in the UK, which requires contributors to be screened and approved. I’ve not been on there for a while, so I really should catch up and submit some more.
Following my blog directly is easy to do, either by e-mail or RSS feed. I have over 8,000 followers on Twitter, with networks through Instagram, PInterest, Facebook, Stumbleupon, LinkedIn, Google+ and more.
My blog is PR friendly, so please do send me a message if you have any questions. If you want me to review something, I’d need to have one to review, so please don’t ask me to do a review when I don’t have the product, or you’re not willing to provide one. My blog is PR friendly, but I only post fellow bloggers and charity posts for free. My time is too precious to advertise someone else’s business for nothing in return at all.
I freelance for people who find it difficult to make up their own content, so if you need me, you know where to find me. Feel free to use my contact page. I used to have my email address listed, but due to a large increase in spammers who use bots to harvest email addresses from websites, I have had to replace it with a contact form.
If you would like to feature on this blog, or have me do some writing for you, please contact me for my rates.
The last thing I would like to say, is that I hope you have enjoyed reading, and will come back to visit me again.
Lots of good reading vibes.

ps – we needy, public seeking bloggers love to see some comments, so if you have visited any articles, I’d be ever grateful if you let me know you stopped in past by leaving a comment.

Would you be willing to write a guest post on my blog?
How are you getting on with your novels?
I think your blog is terrific! I am a mom, wife, reader, blogger, and genealogy enthusiast. I have been tracing my ancestors of which 85% come from Scotland or have Scottish roots. Which has led to an interest of reading books that tie into Scotland. I have created a blog for my book reviews. Please visit it and leave your comments/feedback. http://thebookbragger.blogspot.com
Sincerely,
